Meeting Kompas writes up your Teams meetings for you. It reads your calendar to find them, and joins the ones you choose. Here is exactly what happens, before you start.
One click. There is no password to invent and nothing to install. If you are already signed in to Microsoft on this computer, you may not even see a login box.
Microsoft shows you a consent screen. This is the only part that looks alarming, so here is the whole of it in advance. These four, and nothing else:

Every one of them is read only. We cannot send mail as you, post in Teams, reply to anyone, or add, move or delete anything in your calendar, because those permissions are never requested. You can withdraw the whole lot at any time from your own Microsoft account, and you do not have to ask us.
Nothing is recorded until you say so. Your calendar arrives as a list and you switch on the meetings you want. The notetaker joins under a name you pick and appears in the participant list like any other guest, so nobody is recorded without seeing it there.

Which of those happens is decided by the organisation id Microsoft sends us, not by your email address. Somebody outside your company cannot reach your meetings by signing up with a lookalike address.

Some companies do not let staff approve applications for themselves. If that is yours, the consent screen says so instead of letting you continue, and there is nothing you can do about it from here: a Microsoft 365 admin has to approve Meeting Kompas once for the whole company. Send them this page. After they do it once, nobody else sees a consent screen again.
